Hate the Tarot Court Cards

Love 'em or hate 'em, the court cards are here to stay.

You ask a question about a current issue and those court cards pop up.  I hate them as much as you do.  They hold little meaning to me if my inquiry are about finances and the answer is the Queen of Swords.

I did my research on the web and have read of the idea of removing the court cards away from the deck.  And when asking about someone, then use the deck of court cards.  If unrelated to people, use the non-court card deck.  Sounds like an idea that some would use.

Even if I'm not so keen with the court cards, one thing I have to come to agree:  they are meant to represent people and at times circumstances or solutions with someone else's help.  I see them as guidance, solution to an issue.  When I look at them, I see them as a source of an issue, whether so solve or to  guide.

Since they do belong as part for the pack, I prefer to keep them mixed, the way these were supposed to be used.  Even if they're a pest in my readings.

Should the unfortunate occasion arise, I put together a way of adding value to your readings.  I added Love, Money and Health (based on my experience):

  • King of Swords - Loves but hides it; Money saver but self indulgent; Health is okay.
  • Queen of Swords - Commitment; Money saver and loves houses/cars; Health is good.
  • Knight of Swords - Womanizer; Short in cash; Health in the near future is not so good.
  • Page of Swords - Overly emotional and capricious; Money from others; Mental health issues.

  • King of Cups - Loyal; Money is okay; Health is okay
  • Queen of Cups - Loyal but unhappy in love; Some financial flow from partner; Health is good
  • Knight of Cups - Love is good; Money-wise; Health needs improvement.
  • Page of Cups - Loves new love; Money management; Health is very good.

  • King of Pentacles - Loves himself; Money is great; Health is not so good.
  • Queen of Pentacles - Unfortunate in love; Money Mensa; Health is okay.
  • Knight of Pentacles - Coward in love; Money is excellent; Health is mediocre.
  • Page of Pentacles - Love is fickle; Money is good; Health is very good.

  • King of Wands - Seldom in love; Creative in making Money; Health is poor and non-virility
  • Queen of Wands - Unsuccessful in love; Money affairs need to improve; Health is awesome.
  • Knight of Wands - Love comes second; Goes where the Money flows; Health is good.
  • Page of Wands - Love is not important; Money-poor; Health-poor.
Hope the above sheds a bit of light.  Again, this is based on my experience and what I have conjure during my many readings.  I'm sure you'll find your own conclusions.

Understanding the Major and Minor Arcanas

To make the story brief, the tarot cards were used as playing cards, still being used is in some countries as a game. But in the late 1700s, Etteilla (pseudonym of Jean-Baptiste Alliette) popularize the playing cards into divination.  Etteilla was a French occultist and documented and of the first person who made a living by card divination.  In addition, he added meanings to the cards with elements, astrology and symbols.
